MDVIP

What Is MDVIP?

MDVIP is a preventive and personalized primary-care medicine company headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida. MDVIP is one of the leading customized healthcare companies, having a network of around 1,000 primary care physicians throughout the country who care for more than 325,000 patients. They aim to provide quality care and attention that each patient deserves. Each MDVIP’s physician cares for up to 600 patients as opposed to 2,500 to 3,500 average patients in traditional primary care practice.

Patients of MDVIP receive a comprehensive physical examination with a follow-up wellness plan. They also provide electronic medical records as well as a personalized patient portal (with a focus on diet, exercise, and doctor communication, among others). They also offer additional patient benefits, including acute-care visits with same- or next-day availability, 24/7 physician availability, on-time appointments, and coordination of specialty care.

In June 2014, the growth-equity investor Summit Partners acquired MDVIP from Procter & Gamble. In November 2017, Leonard Green & Partners acquired MDVIP’s majority ownership.

MDVIP stands by its mission of providing personalized, preventive care covering a broad spectrum of patient’s lives. Their programs allow patients to spend more time with their doctors to guide them in areas including nutrition, fitness, emotional well-being, and others. Their physicians leverage advanced diagnostic tools along the way.

They partner up with organizations that can help spread their message of encouraging healthy living and advance the delivery of primary care. They partner with organizations that

– are dedicated to fundamental care innovations,

– want to introduce MDVIP to their consumer base, and

– offer MDVIP’s Wellness Program to their members as either a subsidized or fully covered health benefit

Overview of MDVIP Benefits

MDVIP is the leading company in affordable and personalized preventive care. Through their primary care doctors’ knowledge and expertise, MDVIP empowers each patient to lead healthier lives. At the same time, MDVIP enables physicians to practice medicine while still having the time to pursue their interests and attain financial stability in the unpredictable healthcare setup.

MDVIP offers a secure and proven solution to the challenges in the complex healthcare system, whether you’re a single physician or in a group, employed or in private practice. MDVIP claims that the resounding result is a better and more fulfilling healthcare experience for both patients and doctors.

We have written an article, “What Are Workplace Wellness Objectives? (13 Objectives and 6 Goals of Wellness Programs in the Workplace),Opens in a new tab.” which explains what workplace objectives are, as well as the most effective wellness programs companies can integrate into the workplace.

Annual Wellness Plan

As doctors can devote more time to their patients, primary care practices can go beyond traditional expectations. Each year, MDVIP users will undergo the MDVIP Wellness Program, which is covered by their membership fee. Here, patients will receive comprehensive, advanced health screenings as well as diagnostic tests. These help detect any potential issues that are not usually covered by commercial insurance or Medicare. They also give an unobstructed view of patients’ overall health.

An Investment in Your Health

Together with the doctor, patients can discuss their health test results in detail. MDVIP’s physicians will then interpret them and suggest how they can be improved. Both the doctor and the patient will develop an individualized action plan that will include the progress and a time frame for their follow-up.

The MDVIP Wellness Program helps in identifying and addressing patients’ unique needs for them to focus on living their best lives. The MDVIP Wellness Program measures the following:

– Heart health

– Respiratory health

– Diabetes

– Bone health

– Nutrition and fitness

– Vision hearing

– Sleep

– Emotional well-being

– Sexual health

– Weight management
